THIS TIME NEXT WEEK - by Christopher J Orton and Andre Paul Spring
"I Just Have To Be Loved" - Featured in A STAGE KINDLY presents "Encore"
What would you do with the last seven days of your life? It's a question we could all answer hypothetically - but what if you had to wake up tomorrow knowing you have only seven days to resolve a life's worth of decisions and choices, one week to say goodbye to those you love and to forgive those who wronged you. Imagine knowing, to the precise day, when you would lose everything and everyone. That's exactly what Joseph has to deal with in "This Time Next Week" although, rather than accept the fact, he tries to hide it from all those around him. His mantra is, "Don't tell anyone and they won't get hurt". This includes his younger brother, Christian, who doesn't yet have enough life experience to even comprehend the thought of losing his mentor.
"This Time Next Week" is one person's perception of the inevitability of death, coupled with the un-faltering bond between those we truly love. Even when we know our expiration date, it examines how un-prepared we are and, most importantly, how nothing in life is guaranteed until our very last breath.
